“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31 (Campus Ministry-selected Bible verse for 2024-2025)

April 17, 2025 - Celebrating our 160th Year!

Dear BA Parents/Guardians:

We were blessed to have our new Head of School, Mrs. Paula Leider, on campus yesterday to meet with staff and student leaders. We are excited to have her join the team, and she is looking forward to meeting all of you when she starts this July!

Today begins the Triduum, the holiest days of the year. DMCC (see schedule at right) is offering the Holy Thursday mass of the last supper tonight. Tomorrow,
Good Friday, there is no Mass anywhere in the world. At 3 p.m. there is a veneration of the cross and a communion service with optional stations after that. A reminder that for Catholics, Good Friday is a day of prayer and fasting. No meat is to be consumed on this day.  Holy Saturday liturgy begins at 8 p.m. and is the highest feast day of the year. Easter Sunday masses are at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and noon. All are welcome.

Blossom & Bloom, BABS Gala 25 was a big success last Saturday! We raised almost $150,000 to support the primary mission of BA to provide an excellent college prep education for your sons and daughters. We were thrilled with the results and thank everyone who attended, donated, bid, volunteerd, or otherwise contributed to the success of this event. God is good!

The week ahead:

Governor Walz has proposed the elimination of funding for counselors, nurses, transportation, and textbooks for non-public school students. This will reduce critical funding for BA but also for our local school district as well (transportation). See below for more information and click https://minndependent.quorum.us/campaign/118606/ to be connected to your state legislators and make your views heard.

Funding for Your Students at RiskThe Governor’s proposed budget eliminates critical nonpublic pupil aid, which provides funding for textbooks, testing, counseling, nursing, and transportation for nonpublic school students. These cuts amount to over $50 million per year—roughly $1,080 per student—placing a greater financial burden on families and potentially putting their school of choice out of reach. Nonpublic pupil aid ensures equal access to essential educational resources and helps families afford the best education for their children. Tell your state legislators to oppose these harmful cuts and protect our students! Visit www.mncatholic.org/action_23393 to send a message today.
