Bethlehem Academy offers several dual-enrollment courses through the University of Minnesota.  These courses allow students to earn college credits from the University of Minnesota while also earning high school credits from Bethlehem Academy.  The program is known as College in the Schools or C.I.S.

College in the Schools is accredited by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP).  The U of M courses taught through CIS are the same courses that are offered on the University campus.  Professors from the U of M serve as faculty coordinators and work with Bethlehem Academy faculty teaching the courses.

CIS alumni surveys have consistently shown that 89-95% of respondents who requested credit recognition from colleges and universities other than the U were successful at having some or all of their credits recognized.

Bethlehem Academy currently offers the following University of Minnesota courses:
  • BIOL 1015 Human Physiology, Technology, and Medical Devices (3 U of M credits)
  • HIST 1308 Global America: U.S. History Since 1865 (3 U of M credits)
  • MATH 1371 CSE Calculus I (3 U of M credits)
Typically, BA students need to have a 3.5 cumulative GPA in order to enroll in a CIS course for college credit.
